Description

Walcha’s own Cameron Hayton has spent the last few years researching and learning the art of roasting coffee. He has been buying green beans from ethical importers in Melbourne and Sydney who are dedicated to buying from cooperatives and farms that put the proceeds directly into the hands of the people who pick the coffee cherries and their families. Spending time with professional tasters, coffee farmers, and buyers, and going to coffee cuppings with other roasters is how Walcha Roasted Coffee brings some of the highest quality beans available to the region. By doing this, Walcha Roasted Coffee can offer fresh, high quality beans that would rival any inner city cafe. Walcha Roasted Coffee is currently roasting beans from Uganda, Indonesia, and Ethiopia and has some carefully crafted blends. Coffee reaches its peak flavour about four days after roasting and will start to drop its flavour gradually from about the second or third week after roasting. Walcha Roasted Coffee puts the roast date on every pack of coffee.
