7 years ago I had a very limited understanding of bees, I knew they sting people and make delicious golden honey. This all changed when I met my partner Calla, a passionate beekeeper. His love of beekeeping quickly rubbed off and I found myself becoming more and more fascinated by them. Recently we had the addition of a son into our family which has offered me the opportunity to be a stay at home mother. I established Beelike to make use of the by-products of honey production while providing myself a small income. It’s a concept that is based around minimal waste and reduced carbon footprint while accommodating sustainability. Something I am very passionate and empowered by.
Honey is the most commonly recognised bee product, yet wax and propolis has been used for 1000’s of years for his antibacterial, antifungal, waterproofing, moisturising and healing properties. Being 100% natural, biodegradable and sustainable makes beeswax/ propolis a very valuable and versatile ingredient. We have decided to supply our product range in biodegradable and reusable containers irrespective of cost to justify our ingredients.
The Beelike product you is handcrafted during my limited spare time. It is made with love and respect in small batches. It is produced with our personal supply of wax and propolis which give us the confidence and insurance that it is of good quality and purity. My product range brings me the same level of satisfaction as cooking a dinner with home grown Veggies.
